Description: This is earliest known picture of the "new" Riverview Bridge that connected the Tampa Road with Peru. Constructed in 1900-1902 using sections of the old Lafayette Street Bridge in Tampa, which was torn down in the late 1880s or early 1890s. The Tampa Road ended at the south end of the bridge at Riverview where a sandy, difficult to traverse road continued south towards Parrish. more
