This is a photo huskers, shown in the center of the photo. Once the corn was husked it was placed on a conveyor belt (to the left) to pass by the first inspectors.

After vegetables were trimmed they were removed from the plant by conveyor and loaded on to trucks where they would be taken for recycling or, later, as feed for cattle.

Untrimmed vegetables were delivered, in bulk, to the conveyor system in carts then loaded onto the conveyor belt.
